I have the personality type that likes to take on too much. I’ve been this way my entire life. It’s very frustrating, but it’s also how I function. On February 21, 2014, I closed my laptop for the very last time and walked out of my office with a window for which I’d worked so hard to start and grow my own legal practice that I’ve been having and to invest time into getting to know my precious, one of a kind kiddo.

Since flinging myself into this new adventure, I have learned more about life, passions, and relying on God than I ever thought possible. And, I am sure I am just at the tip of the iceberg when it comes to learning. We also threw a little brother into the mix.

The name of this blog “just came to me” after I stressed about it for quite some time. I love the verse Proverbs 16:24, which says, “Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.” Like many verses in the Bible, I feel like this one might take a lifetime to master. Thus, honeycomb was born. And, I love pearls (and my Tieks, BOOKS, coffee, talking about books over coffee, traveling, cooking, hearing life stories…and most obviously my family)! So, really, the name is a blend of what I’m striving to become and what I love. As an added bonus, I also love Matthew 13:46, which I will let you read at your own leisure.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like to further discuss a post or just life in general.

Much Love,

Rachel Elizabeth
